The history of La Prévote goes over several decades. This former home of 19th century master was built against a farm in order to produce and meet the needs of residents. The provost (man of law) who lived in the main house, on his death, bequeathed the property to his favorite of the moment. Thus was nicknamed Le Domaine de la Prévote (woman meaning).
It is also said that Bouis Gaspard de Besse, our gentleman thief and defender of the oppressed, would have made sometimes visit to a pretty young girl to seduce her. This inhabitant of the place waiting on a stone bench located in the 'Pigeonnier' Park.
